Oma & John
(2024)
'Oma & John' is a loving portrait of my grandma, who unexpectedly falls in love again at the age of 80. One Sunday, during a jazz concert at the library, a kind gentleman asks if she’d like to go for coffee. The rest is history.
This documentary film explores themes of universal love, grief, and starting over later in life. How can a new relationship grow while still holding space for a lifelong partner who is no longer there — and what it means to open up, connect, and even flirt at an older age.
Because no matter our age, we all long to be seen, to be held, and to be loved.
